We analyze the state of the quarterback position heading into Week 15 of the 2023 NFL season

How nice of the NFL schedule-makers to gift us with a pair of Sunday games involving four of our six highest-ranked quarterbacks. In Kansas City, No. 1 Patrick Mahomes faced No. 6 Josh Allen. In Dallas, No. 3 Jalen Hurts took on No. 5 Dak Prescott.

The rankings were launched back in September with Mahomes first abd Allen third before the Bill plunged down the list. Their modest stat lines on Sunday were nearly identical, aside from sacks and passing yards — both in Mahomes' favor. Yet Allen delivered a win that kept one Buffalo foot in the playoff door.

At Jerryworld, both QBs coughed up fumbles — the fifth of the season for Hurts, a scoop-and-six for Prescott. Neither threw a pick and Prescott had a 2-0 edge in touchdown throws. Most damning for Hurts, the Eagles could not manage a TD on offense in Dallas' decisive victory.

Scroll further to see if the results and our impressions from the head-to-heads impacted the rankings. You might be surprised.

For each player listed, we provide his MVP odds if applicable, a QB2 rating that indicates how much a team's power rating is downgraded if the starter is out and projected fantasy points per game.
