The Virginia Cavaliers will look to win their eighth consecutive game over the North Carolina Tar Heels when they meet in a key ACC matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (9-5, 3-1) have not lost to the Tar Heels (10-4, 2-1) since 2017. Tipoff from Roy Williams Court at Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill, N.C., is set for 1 p.m. ET. UNC is favored by five points at Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points is set at 132 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page).

Before making any Virginia vs. North Carolina picks, you NEED to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of almost $2,200 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows the Tar Heels are led by junior forward Armando Bacot, who is averaging 15.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.6 blocks and one steal per game. Bacot is the only player in the country in the top 10 in double-doubles (10), field goal percentage (63.8) and rebounding with 146. He is 11th in UNC history in double-double percentage (37.3), and is coming off a career-high 17 rebounds at Notre Dame. Bacot has reached 20 or more points five times this season, including 21 points against the Fighting Irish on Wednesday.

The model also knows the Cavaliers have two players scoring in double digits, led by senior forward Jayden Gardner. The transfer from East Carolina is averaging 15.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He is coming off a 23-point performance at Clemson on Tuesday, the 11th time he's reached double figures and the third time he reached 20 or more points. His best game was a 29-point effort in an 82-49 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Dec. 18. He has also registered four double-doubles, including a 21-point, 13-rebound effort against Providence on Nov. 23.

Now, it has set its sights on Virginia vs. North Carolina. It is leaning Over on the total and it also says one side of the spread hits in over 50 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
