Week 2 in the NFL kicks off with a Thursday Night Football matchup of 2022 NFC division champions as the Minnesota Vikings (0-1) visit the Philadelphia Eagles (1-0), the second straight season the teams play in the City of Brotherly Love in primetime. The first one didn't go well for Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, who notably has struggled at night in his career with an 11-18 against-the-spread mark dating to his Washington days (7-9 ATS w/Minnesota).

Because the Vikings are a dome team, it's better to go play outdoors in Philadelphia in mid-September than mid-December. It's the home opener for the defending NFC champion Eagles. The Eagles have five scheduled primetime contests for a second year in a row. They have appeared in the second-most primetime games (99) in the NFL dating back to 2000. This will be the team's 100th appearance in a prime-time game since Jeffrey Lurie purchased the team in 1994. Philadelphia is 58-41 in those games so far and 20-12 since 2016, including a 4-1 mark in 2022 primetime games.

The Vikings also are scheduled for five primetime games and this will be their first-ever game on Amazon Prime. This all-time series is tied 15-15 including the playoffs, and they have split the past eight. The Eagles have won 11 of their last 14 games at home against the Vikings. Cousins is 6-4 all-time vs. Philadelphia, while Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is 1-0 vs. Minnesota.

Hurts is now 18-1 in his past 19 regular-season starts and can join Patrick Mahomes (2019-21), Peyton Manning (three times), Tom Brady (twice), Joe Montana (1989-93) and Jim McMahon (1984-87) as the only quarterbacks to go 19-1 or better in a 20-start regular-season span in in the Super Bowl Era (since 1966).
