SportsLine's proven experts share their favorite bets on the Early Edge podcast for Saturday, June 25

By@SportsLineUpdated: Jun 25, 2022 3:14PM UTC . 4 min read

Allan Bell is joined by Micah Roberts, Jon "Buckets" Eimer and Andrew Gombas on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get highlighted plays for MLB, UFC Fight Night and soccer for Saturday, June 25, and you can stream the show live every morning on the SportsLine YouTube page.

The crew first delves into betting trends, with Micah going over the players who have been on fire and helping him cash in on MLB props. They include Andrew Vaughn of the White Sox and Atlanta's Dansby Swanson, who both have more than 20 hits over the past two weeks.

Allan then offers up two SportsLine Plays of the Day, the first an MLB pick from the Marlins vs. Mets matchup (4:10 p.m. ET). The pick is Marlins +1.5 on the run line (-130), with Miami covering in 70 percent of the SportsLine Projection Model's simulations.

The second play also is an MLB pick from the Blue Jays vs. Brewers (4:10 p.m. ET), and SportsLine is backing the Brewers Over the team total of 4 runs (-135). The overall run total has gone into double digits in the past five games started by Toronto's Yusei Kikuchi, and he will be on the mound Saturday.

Micah also has an MLB pick, backing the Mariners +115 to beat the Angels (10:07 p.m. ET). "They got their bats finally going against the A's" in a three-game sweep, Roberts says of Seattle. Los Angeles tends to "go to sleep for a couple days" after Shohei Ohtani's impressive performances, and he sees Seattle taking advantage Saturday.

Andrew is really excited about UFC Fight Night, especially the Arman Tsarukyan vs. Mateusz Gamrot lightweight main event, which he sees as a battle of "extremely great talents." And he has a pick from the co-main event, taking Shavkat Rakhmonov to win inside the distance -150 against Neil Magny. Rakhmonov is 15-0 with 15 finishes, and Gombas expects his dominance to continue in the welterweight fight.

The MMA expert also is on Under 2.5 rounds (+120) in the JP Buys-Cody Durden flyweight bout in the UFC Fight Night preliminaries. "These guys are gonna fight at a frantic pace," Andrew says. He also likes Sergey Morozov -135 over Raulian Paiva in their bantamweight fight.

Gombas also has an MLB pick, as he has been on a roll, and he is backing the Yankees -170 to beat the Astros (1:05 p.m. ET) with Gerrit Cole on the mound for New York.

Buckets wraps things up with three MLS picks, and all three involve goals in the high-scoring league. He likes Atlanta United Over 1.5 goals (-105) against Toronto FC (7:30 p.m. ET). Atlanta has scored at least twice in six of its past seven games, and Toronto has allowed 29 goals in its 15 games, second-most in MLS.

In the Austin FC vs. FC Dallas match (9 p.m. ET), Eimer is going Over 2.5 goals on the match total at -150. The last pick is from the Inter Miami vs. Minnesota United match (8 p.m. ET), and the play is Inter Miami -125 Draw No Bet. Eimer expects Inter Miami to win outright at home but will take the safety net at good value.
