Today's top picks: Kansas to beat Villanova among best bets, plus more college basketball, PGA Tour and college baseball picks for Saturday

SportsLine's proven experts share their favorite bets on the Early Edge podcast for Saturday, April 2

Allan Bell is joined by Mike McClure, Justin Perri and John Bollman on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get highlighted plays for college basketball, the PGA Tour and college baseball for Saturday, April 2, and you can stream the show live every morning on the SportsLine YouTube page.

Before jumping into the picks, Mike wants to talk about NASCAR, with qualifying set for Saturday for the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond. Joe Gibbs Racing has dominated at this track, but it is struggling so far with the new car. JGR drivers have won eight of the last 12 races at Richmond. McClure is eager to see how they do in Saturday qualifying and Sunday's race (3:30 p.m. ET), and he says there should be good value on the Gibbs drivers.

Allan offers up a college basketball SportsLine Play of the Day, which is North Carolina +2.5 in the first half in the Final Four nightcap against Duke (8:49 p.m. ET). Justin agrees with the pick and also likes the Under for the first half. He expects it to be a more defensive game than expected, given the high stakes.

McClure has been on fire with his PGA Tour plays, so he is sticking with that heading into the third round of the Valero Texas Open. He is taking Mito Pereira -115 in a matchup against Kevin Streelman for Saturday. The name recognition of Streelman means there's value on this number. "Mito has quietly become one of the best approach players on Tour," McClure says. His model says the odds on this matchup play should be -137.

Bollman has a college baseball pick, taking Florida State -105 against Notre Dame. The Seminoles have won 12 of their last 16 games against the Fighting Irish and have won five straight series against them. Friday's game went to extra innings, and the Irish won, but FSU should have the pitching depth advantage today, Bollman says.

Justin is fired up for his "Super Bowl," and has plays on both Final Four matchups. He is taking Kansas -195 on the money line against Villanova in the early game (6:09 p.m. ET). "Nova's gonna have a tough time winning this game," Perri says. "Justin Moore is a huge part (and is out with an injury) ... we know they do not have the depth, and Kansas looks great." He expects it to finish around a seven- or eight-point game. He also believes that if Kansas wins, it will eclipse its team total, so he is going Over 68.5 points for the Jayhawks.

In the Duke vs. North Carolina matchup. Perri is going with the Tar Heels +4 and is taking the first-half Under 71 at Caesars Sportsbook. "Don't do 70.5," he says, "that's a big difference." He also is putting a small stake on the game to go to overtime. "These teams are tight, this is like a crazy game of destiny," Perri says. "It would only be fitting." He loves this play at +950, and you might even find a bigger number.
