Today's picks: Why the Raptors will cover against the Cavs, plus more NBA, NHL and soccer best bets for Wednesday, Oct. 19

Coach starts things off with the SportsLine play of the day: Over 216 points in the Suns-Mavericks game (10 p.m. ET). "Whenever the season starts, that's when you want to bang these Overs because that's when these players are the freshest," he says.

Green has two soccer plays. The first is Chelsea (-125) to beat Brentford (2:30 p.m. ET). "Chelsea are on a five-game winning streak under new manager Graham Potter," he says.

His second play is Both Teams To Score (-130) in the Liverpool-West Ham match (2:30 p.m. ET). "Both Teams To Score has paid off in four of the last five meetings between these teams," he says.

McClure has one play, from the NHL: the Blues (-126) to beat the Kraken (10 p.m. ET). "[The Blues] have the advantage across all three lines here," he says.

Hartstein closes out the show with two plays from the NBA. The first is the Raptors (-2.5) to cover against the Cavaliers (7:30 p.m. ET). "I think Toronto has the continuity," he says. "They return all five starters."

His final play is a player prop: Over 10.5 points for Pistons rookie Jaden Ivey against the Magic (7 p.m. ET). "He had a preseason game where he went 9-for-9 from the line," he says. "This guy can get to the rim."
