Today's picks: Why Dartmouth will cover against Harvard, plus more college basketball, NFL and soccer for Monday, Jan. 17

Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Justin Perri, Allan Bell and Larry Hartstein on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for college basketball, the NFL and soccer for Monday, Jan. 17.

Coach starts things off with the SportsLine Play of the Day: Both teams to score (-130) in Serie A's Napoli-Bologna match (12:30 p.m. ET). 

Perri follows with a pair of college basketball plays. The first is Princeton (-5) to cover against Penn (4 p.m. ET). "Princeton has won the last four meetings between these two teams," he says. "The Tigers are 10-0 straight up at home. Princeton's looked good, but Penn actually is coming off of a loss to Columbia, which hasn't been all that great."

Justin's second play is Dartmouth (+1.5) to cover against Harvard (7 p.m. ET). "Dartmouth should be a great home underdog," he says. "I think they probably win this one. Harvard's been a little bit iffy. Dartmouth has been very strong at home. … I don't really trust that Harvard team too much."

Next, Bell likes Over 0.5 interceptions by Arizona's Kyler Murray (+110) in the Cardinals-Rams NFC Wild Card matchup (8:15 p.m. ET). "Kyler Murray has put up a lot of yards and a lot of points on a lot of teams, except the Rams," Allan says. "He doesn't do too well against them - only seven touchdowns to six interceptions."

Coach jumps back in with a college basketball pick from SportsLine expert Zack Cimini: FAU (-3) to cover against Charlotte (4 p.m. ET).

Hartstein wraps things up with a prop bet in the NFC Wild Card Game: Over 7.5 receptions by Los Angeles' Cooper Kupp (-140) in the Rams-Cardinals contest. "In two games against the Cardinals (during the regular season), 28 targets (for Kupp)," Larry says. "He matches up well with anybody they will throw up against him. In this kind of situation, you cannot imagine Cooper Kupp getting less than double-digit targets."
