Zack is excited about Arizona getting into the sports betting arena, Allan has some unique revelations about parallels between the NFL preseason and early college football results.Â
The SportsLine Play of the Day is then issued, as the Red Sox and Rays are expected to go Over 8.5 runs at 7:10 p.m. ET.
Allie is taking the Brewers -152 in the first five innings over the over the Giants at 9:45 p.m. ET. The pitching matchup heavily favors Milwaukee, and San Francisco will be missing a key lineup piece.Â
Zack is on the the Red Sox +115 over the Rays. He likes Nick Pivetta in this spot, as he has performed well vs. Tampa Bay before and should get ample run support. Larry, however, swoops in and issues a "SportsLine Challenge" on the selection, with one side donating to a very important cause.
Allan has a pair of MLB picks, including the Tigers +1.5 over the Twins at 2:10 p.m. ET. Detroit has been playing in tight games and Minnesota is not trending in the right direction in road matchups. He is also going with the Cardinals +1.5 over the Reds at 6:40 p.m.ET. "The Cardinals are averaging 5.3 runs over their last seven while Cincinnati is 10-17 in Luis Castillo's starts," he says.Â
Larry opts for the Nationals +0.5 over the Phillies at 7:05 p.m. ET. Zack Wheeler is sliding, while Washington has an electric young starter on the hill.Â
