Jonathan Coachman is joined by top sports betting experts Larry Hartstein, John Bollman and Allie O'Neill on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get highlighted plays for the MLB, NBA and NHL Stanley Cup playoffs on Friday, May 6 and you can stream the show live every morning on the SportsLine YouTube page.

It's a baseball-centric show today, although note that a handful of games have potential weather issues -- the lone matinee, Dodgers at Cubs, already has been postponed.

If it is played, no doubt the best pitching matchup of Friday is from Cleveland between Cy Young contenders Kevin Gausman of the Blue Jays and Shane Bieber, the 2020 AL Cy Young winner, of the Guardians. John likes the Jays: "Both Bieber and Gausman have been very good, and I expect them to both be good again. However, the Guardians bullpen is worked after playing a doubleheader on Wednesday and a close game Thursday. Emmanuel Clase, Bryan Shaw, and Nick Sandlin would all be pitching their third game in three days if they were to appear. The Blue Jays bullpen has been struggling but they are rested after last night and everyone is available."

Coach actually likes the Over 6.5 runs despite the stellar matchup: "Bieber is not the pitcher he used to be."

The Baltimore Orioles aren't favored often, but Larry likes them at home today vs. Kansas City: "The Royals have lost five of six, getting shut out three times in that span. They're 2-6 on the road this season. Royals starter Carlos Hernandez has more walks (10) than strikeouts (8) and a 1.89 WHIP. Baltimore starter Jordan Lyles shut down the Red Sox last time out and has pitched well in three of his last four outings."

The Mets had one of the most incredible comeback wins in franchise/MLB history Thursday night and Allie is going right back to them in Philadelphia tonight: "The Mets have won all five of Max Scherzer's starts this season, including two vs. the Phillies. New York also has the edge in the bullpen especially after what we saw last night."
