Today's picks: Pair of Army-Navy selections, several college basketball predictions for Saturday's huge slate

SportsLine's proven experts share their favorite bets on the Early Edge podcast for Saturday, Dec. 11

Host Allan Bell is joined by featured sports betting experts Mike McClure, Justin Perri and Micah Roberts on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get highlighted plays for college football and college basketball for Saturday, Dec. 11, and you can stream the show live every morning on the SportsLine YouTube page.

Bell is hosting the show despite the tornadoes that ripped through six states overnight. The crew sends its thoughts to those affected by the devastation before jumping into Saturday's sports predictions. Justin is excited that there are 92 games on the college basketball schedule but advises restraint and making the most calculated plays you can.

The Play of the Day is Arizona -2 against Illinois from Max Gorenstein. Arizona is 8-0 this season and 7-1 ATS, and "this line is way off," Gorenstein says. "Take the undefeated Wildcats to win this game."

Mike has another college basketball play, taking Georgetown +4.5 against Syracuse in what he calls the Hoyas' first real test of the season. "This line is a little bit inflated," McClure says. "You're going to find that a lot with a team like Syracuse." McClure says it comes down to three-point shooting for the Orange, and Buddy Boeheim is coming off a 3-of-15 shooting night against Villanova. He likes Georgetown on its home floor.

Micah jumps on the big Army-Navy matchup and is taking Army -7 as well as the Over (34.5), even though the last 15 games -- and 40 of the last 50 -- have gone Under. "It's a little obscene here, based on the way these two teams have played this season," Roberts says of the low total. Five of the past 10 have gone Over this number, and "there's definite value here."

Justin is taking UC-Irvine +2.5 against Fresno State in college basketball and says the wrong team is favored, according to his models. The teams know each other well, and he sees this as a neck-and-neck battle. Irvine has looked like the stronger team, Perri says, and they could run away with it, but he doesn't see that capability from Fresno State. His models are showing Irvine should be -1, and he is all over that edge.

Perri also likes Youngstown State -6 against Canisius, with his models showing it as a nine-point spread. Canisius has been ice cold, failing to cover in five straight.
