Today's picks: Maryland-Iowa best best, plus more college football and Premier League picks for Monday

The Coach delivers the SportsLine Play of the Day, backing Manchester United-Wolves Under 2.5 goals in Premier League action at 12:30 p.m. ET. Both offenses are not good and the Manchester United defense is stacked. The Coach also tips us off to a new soccer capper to follow on SportsLine. 

In college football, Allan urges an early play on Georgia and Alabama on Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. ET. He recommends Alabama at +3. These teams have met twice since 2020 and the results have produced identical scores that point to the Crimson Tide covering again for sure. 

Larry's featured college basketball pick is Iowa -8 over Maryland at 9:07 p.m. ET. "Maryland has just not been impressive under Danny Manning," he says. "Iowa has three losses, but those should come with an asterisk. The nation's leading scorer, Keegan Murray. missed the game against Purdue, and in the other games, he was really bothered by his ankle. This is an Iowa team that is tremendous on its home floor. They don't turn the ball over and they are very efficient offensively."
