Jonathan Coachman is joined by proven sports betting experts Allie O'Neill, Zack Cimini, Justin Perri, and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get prime plays for college basketball, the NFL, the NHL, and Serie B for Thursday, Jan. 13, and you can stream the show live every morning on the SportsLine YouTube page.

Zack opens by looking at some college basketball teams that are coming off significant layoffs, including Monmouth and Wyoming. Larry provides some interesting tidbits for the NFL wild card round, including trends involving road teams and big home favorites.

The Coach shares the SportsLine Play of the Day from a SportsLine soccer expert on a 16-4 run. The highlighted selection from Serie B action at 2:30 p.m. is Benevento and Monza both to score.

Allie delivers an NHL money line parlay, featuring the Predators and Blackhawks at +109. Nashville hosts Buffalo at 8 p.m. ET, and the Sabres have won only three of their last 20 games while the Predators have won 12 of their last 14. The Blackhawks take on the Canadiens at 8:30 p.m. ET, and Montreal has simply been terrible on the road.

Justin has a pair of prime college basketball plays, including Oakland +1.5 over Cleveland State at 7 p.m. ET. He says the Golden Grizzlies are simply the better team and he expects them to win a close one. Justin is also on SIUE -6.5 over Eastern Illinois at 9 p.m. ET. The Panthers are one of the worst teams in college basketball and have not beaten a Division I opponent this season.

Staying with college hoops, Zack is going with Coastal Carolina +3.5 over Appalachian State at 6:30 p.m. ET. "You know I like finding some motivation, especially in these smaller conferences," he says. "I think Appalachian State hit their peak last year." Zack points to Coastal Carolina's loss to Appalachian State in last year's Sun Belt tournament as a key to boosting the Chanticleers this time. "That semifinal game is where the motivation comes in. Coastal Carolina had it and lost in overtime. Appalachian State has been up and down this year." Zack is also taking Abilene Christian +4 over Grand Canyon at 9 p.m. ET. The Wildcats should bounce back after two losses on their home court.

In Steelers-Chiefs on Sunday at 8:15 p.m. ET, Larry is riding with Kansas City -7 in the first half. The Chiefs have the third-most points in the league in the first half this season, and Pittsburgh has been a notoriously slow starter throughout the regular season.
