Today's picks: 49ers-Titans prime plays, plus more NFL, college football, and college basketball for Thursday, Dec. 23

Tom considers the increasing impact of COVID-19 on bowl games and has one matchup that he is specifically tracking due to the issues. Allan reveals some unique trends on the Green Bay Packers in their recent home victories.

The SportsLine Play of the Day is from college hoops, as the Coach highlights Fresno State +1 over Weber State at 6 p.m. ET. The ATS numbers certainly favor the Bulldogs. 

Mike is fired up for 49ers-Titans at 8:20 p.m. ET. He is taking Tennessee +9 in a teaser and for both teams to score Over 38 points. "The Titans are on their home field in prime time, and this is where Mike Vrabel excels," he says. "They're going to have to throw a bit more tonight, just plain and simple. They should have Julio Jones and A.J. Brown out there on the field tonight. I think we see a little more of an accelerated pace of play from the Titans at times."

Tom shares his pair of college football selections, including Miami (Ohio) and North Texas Over 55 points at 3:30 p.m. ET. North Texas' running game revived its season, and the Miami defense has difficulty stopping a good ground attack. Conversely, Miami's passing game should shred the North Texas defense. He is also on UCF +7 over Florida at 7 p.m. ET. Gus Malzahn will have his team revved up to win a game of bragging rights. 

Allan previews a contest to join in on when the Thursday live stream airs. He then supplies his pick of the Packers -7.5 over the Browns at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Green Bay is surging to the No. 1 seed in the NFC, and Cleveland is banged up. He is also taking the Seahawks -6.5 over the Bears on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET. The return of Tyler Lockett could provide a boost to the Seattle offense.
