Thursday July 1 MLB weather forecast, odds: Angels-Yankees rained out; Marlins-Phillies, Dodgers-Nationals, Brewers-Pirates, Cardinals-Rockies in jeopardy

Weather already has affected Thursday's MLB schedule and it may only get worse.

There were 13 games scheduled around baseball on Thursday, the first day of July, but Angels-Yankees set for a 1:05 p.m. ET first pitch already has been postponed because there's a flash flood watch in the Bronx. That means the Halos will have to return to New York for a makeup game at some point. Unfortunately, night games between the Marlins-Phillies, Dodgers-Nationals, Brewers-Pirates and Cardinals-Rockies all are in jeopardy, too. Click here for the SportsLine Projection Model's Thursday parlay (if all games played) that would pay 13/1.

Obviously, there's a major storm front along the East Coast, while the National Weather Service in Denver has also issued a flash flood watch for parts of Colorado.

Series that are just starting are a little more apt to be postponed because the teams could simply play a doubleheader this weekend or if the teams return later this year. However, any series potentially ending on Thursday makes things trickier – especially if it's a team's lone visit of the year to a city like the Angels in New York, the Dodgers in D.C. and the Cardinals in Denver.

Padres-Reds and Mets-Braves should be played but could both be affected by rain as well to where there might be a delay pregame or during.

As far as windy conditions, perhaps consider betting the Under in Astros-Indians as winds are projected to be blowing straight in at Progressive Field at about 14 mph. That total is set at Over/Under 8.5 runs. There is no major rain issue there.

Here are the various weather reports for the above games:

  • Marlins at Phillies (-125 favorites): 90 percent chance of showers/storms. Severe thunderstorm watch 12:40 p.m.-8 p.m. Flash flood watch 2 p.m.-Friday 8 p.m.
  • Brewers at Pirates (+210): 80 percent chance of showers/storms.
  • Dodgers at Nationals (+125): 80 percent chance of showers/storms. Severe thunderstorm watch until 8 p.m.
  • Cardinals at Rockies (+115): 60 percent chance of showers/storms. Flash flood watch.
