On Thursday night, the Houston Texans traded up to select Clemson QB Deshaun Watson in the first round of the NFL Draft.

At BookMaker.eu, Houston improved from +2,850 to win Super Bowl 52 to +2,210. That's roughly 22/1, up from 28/1.

Those are the best odds of any team in the AFC South.

SportsLine projects the Texans to win 8.6 games and win their division 35.6 percent of the time; both are the best of any AFC South team.

CBS SPORTS: DID TEXANS DRAFT WATSON OUT OF DESPERATION?

The Texans won their division last season after going 9-7 and winning the tiebreaker with the Tennessee Titans. They struggled with inconsistent play from the quarterback position and wound up sending free agent mega-bust Brock Osweiler to the Cleveland Browns.

On Friday, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said Tom Savage would remain his starting quarterback, but the team's odds to win the Super Bowl climbed anyway.

"As a rookie quarterback it's a big jump," O'Brien said. "Tom is our starter and Deshaun will come in and he's going to work hard and we're going to teach him and feed him a lot of information and he'll work at it."

Watson had almost 100 total touchdowns in his last two seasons at Clemson, and got the best of Alabama's impenetrable defense in January's national championship game.
