By@SportsLineUpdated: Feb 04, 2022 9:00PM UTC . 3 min read

The two preseason favorites in the Atlantic 10 collide when the Richmond Spiders host the St. Bonaventure Bonnies in a key conference game on Friday at the Robins Center in Richmond, Va. In the preseason, St. Bonaventure received all 28 first-place votes and 392 points in the poll, but the Bonnies (12-6, 4-3 Atlantic 10) enter Friday's game three games behind Atlantic 10 leader Davidson. Richmond was second in the preseason poll with 352 points, but the Spiders (14-8, 5-4) also are three games behind Davidson.

Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. ET. The Spiders are favored by 3.5 points in the latest Richmond vs. St. Bonaventure odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the Over/Under for total points scored is 137.5. (See up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page.)

Before making any St. Bonaventure vs. Richmond picks, be sure to check out what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Div. I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of more than $2,400 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows that Richmond has one of the nation's best defenders in Jacob Gilyard. A 5-foot-9 guard from Kansas City, Mo., Gilyard leads Div. I in steals per game (3.36) and has led the country in steals in each of the previous two seasons. His 432 career steals are the most by any player in Div. I history.

The model also knows that St. Bonaventure has dominated the recent series between the teams. The Bonnies have won five straight games against Richmond and haven't lost to the Spiders since Jan. 11, 2017. St. Bonaventure's average margin of victory during the streak has been 6.2 points per game.

Now, the model has set its sights on Richmond vs. St. Bonaventure. We can tell you it is leaning Over the total, predicting a combined 142 points, and it also says one side of the spread covers in almost 60 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
