Rams vs. Bengals Super Bowl 56 cross-sport props, odds: Heavy NBA betting action expected on Lakers-Warriors, Hawks-Celtics intertwined with title game

Caesars Sportsbook has interesting Super Bowl 56 cross-sport props with NBA action this weekend.

The Super Bowl is by far the most-wagered single-day event in the United States each year – the NCAA Tournament will take more action, but that's over three-plus weeks – with an estimated 31.4 million Americans expected to bet (legally) on Rams-Bengals Super Bowl 56 and an approximate $7.61 billion wagered, according to the American Gaming Association. That would be a record for the big game. Thirty states and the District of Columbia now have legal sports betting markets is a big reason why, and the Super Bowl will have a spillover effect to the NBA. Click here for expert cross-sport props.

Sportsbooks expect Saturday night's Lakers-Warriors matchup and Sunday afternoon's Hawks-Celtics game, both nationally televised on ABC, to be two of the most-wagered games of the season because of Super Bowl betting frenzy and cross-sport tie-ins.

Lakers-Warriors would have done huge numbers on any night with LeBron James and Steph Curry facing off … and Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook and Klay Thompson. The teams haven't played since opening night when the Dubs won 121-114 in Los Angeles in what was Westbrook's Lakers debut; that has not gone well and the team wasn't able to deal him by Thursday's NBA Trade Deadline. Thompson hadn't made his season debut back then.

Caesars Sportsbook has a Super Bowl cross-sport prop of which is more: Longest Joe Burrow completion at +1.5 (-130) vs. number of Curry points, rebounds and assists at -1.5 (+100). Curry averages 25.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists. Burrow has had a long completion of at least 29 yards every game since Week 12 (he sat out Week 18). Burrow's longest in that stretch is 72 yards. Of course, Curry could go off for 50 points at any time. I'd imagine there will be a LeBron cross-sport prop or two but there wasn't as of this writing as he just got back from injury.

There are a handful from the Super Bowl and Hawks-Celtics, which tips off at 2 p.m. ET Sunday. Rams receiver Cooper Kupp is set at +7.5 receiving yards (-115) vs. Celtics total points scored at -7.5 (-115). As of this writing, Boston averages 108.4 ppg, but Atlanta allows 111.4 as one of the NBA's worst defenses. The teams have played twice this season and the Celtics have been held under 100 points in each. That's not happening again, plus both were in Atlanta. Kupp is officially set at Over/Under 106.5 receiving yards.

Matthew Stafford is set at 0.5 pass attempts (-115) vs. Celtics star Jayson Tatum points and rebounds at -0.5 (-115). Stafford averaged 35.4 attempts in the regular season and 33.3 in these playoffs. His high was 48 and low 17. Tatum averages 25.5 points and 8.4 rebounds. He has been struggling a bit in four games this month, averaging 19.3 points and 7.3 rebounds. In the two games vs. Atlanta, he's averaging 27.0 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Different books will have different cross-sport props as it's essentially a competition between them to come up with more ones. There are some with the Super Bowl that include UFC 271, Daytona 500, the Masters and stretch as far as the Kentucky Derby.
