Purdue vs. Milwaukee odds, line: Proven college basketball model reveals picks for Tuesday's matchup

The SportsLine projection model has released its selections for Tuesday's game between the Boilermakers and Panthers

The Purdue Boilermakers attempt to win their 10th consecutive season opener when they host the Milwaukee Panthers on Tuesday. Purdue, which hasn't lost an opener since falling to Bucknell in 2012, has outscored its opponents by an average of 28.2 points during the winning streak. Milwaukee defeated Purdue 73-68 in their last meeting in 2005.

Tipoff at Mackey Arena is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. The Boilermakers are 25-point favorites in the latest Purdue vs. Milwaukee odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points scored is 144. (See up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page.)

Before making any Milwaukee vs. Purdue picks, you NEED to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past six years, the proprietary computer model has generated more than $1,200 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anybody who has followed it has seen profitable returns.

The model knows Purdue is 16-1 in season openers under Matt Painter, who is 16 wins away from becoming the fifth coach in Big Ten history to reach 400. Zach Edey is the only returnee among the four players that averaged double digits in points last season. The junior center was second on the team at 14.4 points per game, hitting double figures in all but five of his 37 contests, and pulled down 7.7 rebounds while averaging just 19 minutes.

The model also knows Milwaukee went 10-22 last season, ending the campaign with back-to-back losses to Illinois-Chicago. The Panthers are led by Bart Lundy, who replaces Pat Baldwin after leading Division II Queens University to a 30-4 record in 2021-22. Milwaukee enters with almost an entirely different roster from last season that includes sophomore guard Kentrell Pullian, a transfer from Eastern New Mexico who was the 2022 Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year after averaging a team-leading 12 points and 5.2 rebounds.

Now, the model has set its sights on Purdue vs. Milwaukee. We can tell you it is leaning Under the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in more than 60% of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
