Pete's Best Bets: Looking to build off a 4-1 week
Our Pete Prisco is making a late-season run with his NFL picks after going 4-1 in Week 15. He shares his five best plays for Week 16, including the Christmas Eve tilt in Oakland.

I was staring the first 5-0 week of the year in the face with my Best Bets last week with the Denver Broncos up 17 and getting 6.5.
So what happens? They have a second-half implosion, a late fumble leads to a touchdown -- not a field goal -- and the undefeated week goes out the window.
But 4-1 is damn good, if I don't say so myself.
I promised a 13-2 close to the season, and I am off to a good start. The hot streak has my record up to 41-33-1 as part of Team Oddshark in the SuperContest at Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.
Now let's get two 5-0 weeks to close it out.
I am filing this early this week for two reasons. One is the Christmas holiday, but the second is I like the Thursday night game -- a lot.
So here are my Week 16 picks.
Let's keep it rolling.
Bills (-6) vs. Cowboys  (SportsLine's pick) -- The Cowboys put a lot into the prime-time game against the Jets last week. Now they have to travel to Buffalo for a game that is expected to be played in the 40s with rain. They won't like that. Buffalo has lost two straight road games, but I think they re-group here to blow out the Cowboys and Kellen Moore, who will be making his first career start.
Dolphins (-1.5) vs. Colts  (SportsLine's pick)  -- The Colts have looked bad the past two weeks and now travel to the heat of South Florida. The last time they were in the state of Florida two weeks ago, the Jaguars blew them out. Miami looked to pack it in last week at San Diego, but they are back home. That matters. Without Andrew Luck for the Colts, the Dolphins take it.Â
Rams (+13.5) at Seahawks  (SportsLine's pick)  -- Seattle is playing great football, rolling up big offensive numbers, but the Rams have a physical defense that has done a good job against Russell Wilson in his career. The Rams have beaten Wilson three times in seven games, including in the opener this year. The Seahawks will win the game, but the Rams will keep it close.Â
Bengals (+3.5) at Broncos  (SportsLine's pick)  -- I know this is a tough spot for AJ McCarron to make his second career start. The Steelers shredded the Denver defense last week, so they will be focused here. But what most pundits are overlooking is Brock Osweiler will be facing a good defense as well. The Bengals will get after him up front and create pressure issues. They keep it close. Give me the field goal plus the hook.Â
Raiders (-6) vs. Chargers  (SportsLine's pick) -- The Raiders have the Chargers in a good situation. San Diego put a ton into their home finale last week against Miami since it might be the last game ever in San Diego. They now have to travel on a short holiday week to play a division rival. That's the perfect storm for an Oakland cover.
