Odds for where WR Brandon Marshall lands

The Giants and Brandon Marshall parted ways on Thursday and SportsLine's oddsmakers predict what's next for the former Pro Bowl receiver.

A big-name receiver is on his way out of the NFC East, and this time it isn't Dez Bryant.

The New York Giants cut veteran receiver Brandon Marshall on Thursday afternoon after he failed a physical, general manager Dave Gettleman confirmed to reporters.

Marshall ends his brief tenure in New York having appeared in just just five games after coming to the Giants on a two-year deal worth $12 million. Eli Manning targeted him 33 times in 2017, but he made just 18 catches for 154 yards and failed to score a touchdown.

His drop in production, as well as his ankle issues, are big concerns going forward, but there's certain to be at least some market for the six-time Pro Bowl selection who put up eight 1,000-yard campaigns in stops with the Broncos, Dolphins, Bears and Jets between 2007-2015.

SportsLine's oddsmakers have named the favorites for where (or if) the 13-year pro will get another chance to play in 2018:

Where will Brandon Marshall play in 2018?

    New England Patriots 2/1
    Baltimore Ravens 2/1
    Indianapolis Colts 3/1
    Seattle Seahawks 5/1
    Buffalo Bills 5/1
    San Francisco 49ers 8/1
    Green Bay Packers 10/1
    Retire/no team 6/1
    Field 3/1

Pick: Numbers and individual accolades have piled up for Marshall, but team success hasn't.

With no Super Bowl rings and a limited number of NFL years left, finding a serious contender makes sense for the 34-year old out of Central Florida.

New England will always be on the table when discussing veteran additions, but 2/1 is too steep a price. Back the Packers, a team needing more depth at receiver that could offer Marshall a chance at a deep run in 2018, at 10/1.
