NFL Week 17 lookahead lines, picks: The three games to bet a week early from proven NFL expert

Since the Colts frittered away a 33-point lead in an overtime loss to Minnesota, the line has moseyed from +2.5 to +4 for Monday's meeting with the Los Angeles Chargers. It's the latest example of the sagacity of grabbing a team favored by 2.5 in the lookaheads if the spot might climb to or above the three-points hurdle come game week. 

L.A. was one of our three lookaheads from a week ago. Another at a key number shifted on our behalf briefly to 3.5 but bounced back to the original line of 3, with Cincinnati favored over New England. Our other selection was a resounding success — for now, anyway. The revelation of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts' ailing shoulder pushed Dallas from the lookahead line -1 to -5. However, Philadelphia is holding out hope that Hurts will play, in which case the figure is certain to shrink.
