NFL Week 16 power ratings for against the spread picks: What each Week 16 line should be, and where there's value

Last week, I had the Buccaneers with a slight edge over the Chiefs as the best team in my power ratings, meaning if you put the Bucs on a neutral field against any other team in the league, I would take the defending champs. But after their offense ran into the ground against the Saints and lost multiple key pieces to injury, I had to drop them down to the pool of seven teams jockeying for the No. 2 spot behind the Chiefs.

Of course, it's not easy to properly rate the Chiefs right now with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce going on the COVID list this week. The new protocols make it more likely they can come back without missing a game, but there's no guarantee that happens either. For now, I'm keeping the Chiefs' rating where I would have it if both guys are in, but if we learn that they won't be back by gameday, you should obviously move them down 1-2 points.

In that second tier that now includes the Bucs, I couldn't figure out who gets the edge as the best of the bunch and potential a half-point bump. I went over the Bucs' issues above. The Packers' defense might be a problem. The Cowboys' offense might be a problem. The Rams needed a lot of help from the officials to hold on against the Seahawks. The Cardinals just lost to the Lions and might have a Kyler Murray issue. The Patriots just lost to the Colts and might have a playing from behind issue. The Colts ... I don't know, Carson Wentz something something?
