NFL Week 13 opening line projections: Early power rating adjustments to help attack spreads for every game

The Jaguars and Texans predictably played the most exciting game of the 1 p.m. Sunday slate in Week 12, but the most notable development may have come in Cincinnati. At first glance, the Steelers winning 16-10 seems like the same old issues for their offense, but Pittsburgh actually gained 400 yards for the first time since Week 2 of the 2020 season. Now, some of that is a reflection on how bad the Bengals defense has been this year, but certainly the offensive coordinator change made some type of difference, with the Steelers rattling off 20-plus yard plays throughout the game.

With the offense showing life as the Steelers outgained their opponent for the first time season, I bumped Pittsburgh up a point in my power ratings. That still keeps them below average, but there's at least some reason for optimism that the offense can move the ball consistently and put some points on the board over the rest of the regular season -- and, increasingly likely, in the playoffs.
