NFL Week 10 power rankings: Browns jump four spots without Odell Beckham, plus futures odds, sim projections for all 32 teams
With Week 9 in the books, the SportsLine Projection Model has simulated the season 10,000 times and has some surprising futures projections.
Every NFL season has a week of wild and surprising final scores, and this season may have just outdone itself on that front. The Buffalo Bills, SportsLine's No. 1 team in our weekly power rankings heading into Week 9, threw up an offensive dud to lose 9-6 to the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars, the 31st-ranked team entering the week. The Denver Broncos smoked the Dallas Cowboys as big underdogs, while the Arizona Cardinals did the same to the San Francisco 49ers despite not having the services of Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins. The Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants also put together upset wins, and the Tennessee Titans capped a wild Sunday by taking it to the Los Angeles Rams despite not having Derrick Henry in the backfield.
Amidst the chaos, one of the biggest risers of the week was the Cleveland Browns, who demolished the Cincinnati Bengals as short underdogs. The Browns overcame their final bit of Odell Beckham drama to put together a 41-point performance in a big road divisional game, and they're climbing up our power rankings as a result, finishing inside the top 10.
Updated NFL futures odds from Caesars Sportsbook make the Bills and Buccaneers co-favorites to win the Super Bowl at +600. Despite their loss, the Rams are up next at +750, while the Cardinals are next at +900 despite having a one-game edge over the Rams and the head-to-head tiebreaker. The Green Packers are +1000, while the Baltimore Ravens are +1100. A trio of teams sit next at +1200: the Cowboys, Titans and Kansas City Chiefs.
Before you place any futures bets on who wins the Super Bowl and each conference or division, you need to see what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.
The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,600 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. The model enters Week 10 of the 2021 season on an incredible 128-88 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.
The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is WAY UP.
Below, you can find the power ranking for all 32 teams based on the model's "neutral sim%," which is calculated based on the number of simulations they win playing healthy (in February) vs. every other team on a neutral field. You'll also find the simulation's projection for how often each team wins their division, conference and the Super Bowl, compared to the current available odds, along with notes from the model's creator, Stephen Oh.
