NFL Underdogs: Feels Like a Dog Day Afternoon

We cannot let the season pass without acknowledging the cinematic connection to these weekly underdog picks. Happy 41st, "Dog Day Afternoon." Those three words form my mantra when tuning in every Sunday to the games in hopeful anticipation for teams receiving points to cover the spreads. Thank goodness the movie director ditched the original title. "The Boys In The Bank" would not fit with this column's theme.
