NFL 2023 Week 8 lookahead lines, picks: Three games to bet a week early from proven NFL expert

The good, the bad and the whatever. That sums up our lookahead picks on this week's NFL card. 

The good was a mere half-point movement with the Baltimore-Detroit spread. It was significant for those of us who favored the Ravens, going from -2.5 to -3. Given how many games wind up with margins of three points, the mini-shift could prove significant.

As for the bad, we liked the Saints as a pick'em against Jacksonville, but New Orleans is now -1. Ties being a rarity, we can live with the fluctuation — unless the Saints prevail by a point.

Our final selection has not budged. We sided with Tampa Bay at -2.5 over Atlanta, thinking the line might mosey up to three. It is unchanged, but we can live with yielding anything less than a field goal.
