The SMU Mustangs will be out to snap a three-game losing streak when they meet the Navy Midshipmen in a key American Athletic Conference matchup on Friday night. The Midshipmen (2-3, 2-1) are coming off an impressive 53-21 win over Tulsa on Saturday, while the Mustangs (2-3, 0-1) will look to rebound from a 41-19 loss at Central Florida on Oct. 5. SMU has won the last two meetings with Navy.

Kickoff from Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. SMU is a 12.5-point favorite in the latest Navy vs. SMU odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under for total points scored is 58. (See up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college football odds page.)

Before you make any Navy vs. SMU picks or college football predictions, you NEED to see the predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Over the past six-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $3,000 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns!

The model knows the Mustangs have one of the best passing attacks in the country, led by senior quarterback Tanner Mordecai. For the season, he has completed 125 of his 211 passing attempts (59.2 percent) for 1,680 yards with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions. SMU is ranked fourth in the nation in passing offense at 355 yards per game and is ninth in total offense at 500.2 yards. Mordecai is 13th nationally in completions per game with 25, and is fourth in passing yards per game at 336.

The model also knows the Midshipmen have a powerful rushing attack and have six players who have at least 117 rushing yards or more on the season. Leading the charge is sophomore fullback Daba Fofana, who has rushed 67 times for 275 yards (4.1 average) and three touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver Maquel Haywood has carried 41 times for 203 yards (5.0 average), including a long of 17 yards. Junior quarterback Tai Lavatai leads the team with 69 rushing attempts for 147 yards (2.1 average) and three scores. He has also passed for two other TDs.

Now, the model has set its sights on Navy vs. SMU. We can tell you it is leaning Over the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in more than 50% of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college football picks.
