MLB parlay picks for July 9: SportsLine expert offers his picks, predictions for Wednesday's games
Eric Cohen offers a four-leg MLB Same Game Parlay Plus for the games on Wednesday, July 9th
Of all the surprising stories in baseball of late, I'm not sure I noticed that the Toronto Blue Jays were on an impressive ten game winning streak and now lead the American League East by 3.5 games. I'm not sure I even realized that this was a team looking to contend in 2025. But they're getting consistent offense from the lines of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, and Alejandro Kirk, not to mention George Springer has been on fire of late. No wonder I see the Yankees fans whining so much in my X feed! While I can't pick the Jays-White Sox game because it's an early one on Wednesday, here are two teams that should win plus a couple props to make our SGPx on hump day.
Wednesday, July 9th MLB SGPx
- Reds ML + Elly De La Cruz Stolen Base (+286)
- Red Sox -1.5 Runs + Rockies Under 3.5 Team Total (+108)
- SGPx odds: +694 (odds subject to change)
Reds ML + Elly De La Cruz Stolen Base
Cincinnati's starter Andrew Abbott is 7-1 with a 2.15 ERA and is heading to his first All-Star Game. Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara has a 9.95 ERA away from home this season. The Reds are looking to avoid the sweep at the hands of Miami and will go with their best healthy pitcher on Wednesday. Also, Alcantara has allowed 23 stolen bases, the most of any pitcher in baseball. Elly De La Cruz has 22 steals, which is tied for 8th in baseball. Look for Abbott to stifle the Marlins hot hitters and Cincinnati to run wild on the former Cy Young winner, Alcantara.
