MLB parlay picks for July 1: SportsLine expert offers his picks, predictions for Tuesday's games
Eric Cohen offers a four-leg MLB Same Game Parlay Plus for the games on Tuesday, July 1st
It's a new week, a new month even, and time to turn around the bad juju this column had last week. Baseball is simply the most unpredictable and in my opinion, the most difficult sport to bet on day in, day out. Who saw rookie phenom Chase Burns not making it out of the first inning in Boston on Monday night? Or Andrew Heaney of the Pirates, who had given up 14 earned runs combined over his last two starts, throwing six no-hit innings against the Cardinals? Here is yet another four-pick parlay that pays more than 5-1 and hopefully leads us to a very positive holiday week!
Tuesday, July 1st MLB SGPx
- Elly De La Cruz 2+ H+R+RBI + Spencer Steer 2+ H+R+RBI
- Texas -1.5 Runs + Corey Seager 2+ H+R+RBI
- SGPx odds: +564 (odds subject to change)
Elly De La Cruz 2+ H+R+RBI + Spencer Steer 2+ H+R+RBI
Time to fade the Red Sox' Richard Fitts, who is 0-3 with a 4.68 ERA, with a couple of hot Cincinnati Reds hitters. Elly De La Cruz is over this hits + runs + RBIs total in 8 of his last 9 games and is hitting .428 over the last week. Surprisingly though, Fitts has given up all seven of his home runs to righties which means Spencer Steer fits the bill on Tuesday. His 0-for-4 performance on Monday night snapped an eight game hitting streak, including a three homer game on Friday. He will bounce back in a big way and I'm not opposed to sprinkling a +450 home run bet over the Green Monster. I like the Reds to exact some revenge on Boston in game two of their series and these two hitters to lead the way.
