Knicks vs. 76ers Wednesday NBA odds, props: James Harden +375 for second straight triple-double in Philadelphia home debut

James Harden makes his 76ers home debut on Wednesday vs. the Knicks.

So far, so good for the Philadelphia 76ers regarding the trade for James Harden as they have blown out the Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks with Harden in the lineup since the All-Star break. Harden had a triple-double in Sunday's win at New York and he's +375 at Caesars Sportsbook for another tonight in his Philadelphia home debut against those same Knicks. Philadelphia is a 10.5-point favorite. It was expected that Harden, the former MVP and scoring champion, and Joel Embiid, the current MVP favorite and current NBA scoring leader (29.8), would make a lethal pick-and-roll combination and they absolutely have. Philadelphia has outscored the Knicks and Timberwolves by 43.1 points per 100 possessions with both on the floor at the same time.

Harden looked completely disinterested at the end of his tenure with the Nets – when he actually played – but looks completely energized in Philly in averaging 28.0 points, 14.0 assists and 9.0 rebounds in the two games. Harden is the first player in Sixers history with at least 56 points, 15 rebounds, 28 assists and five steals combined in his first two games with the team.

He was two assists shy of a triple-double against Minnesota and had one (29 points, 16 assist, 10 rebounds) Sunday against the Knicks in a 125-109 victory. To not get one tonight, Harden is priced -500. Harden has 10 triple-doubles this season, third-most in the NBA behind Nikola Jokic (16) and Dejounte Murray (12), both of whom have played at least eight more games.

That Embiid and Harden both have at least 30 points tonight is +450 on a yes-only prop – Embiid is set at Over/Under 30.5 points and Harden O/U 23.5.

The chances are dwindling daily that the Knicks (25-36) even reach the Eastern Conference play-in tournament as they are four games out of the final spot. They lost nine games in February and blew three 20-point leads in losses, so maybe it's a good thing it's March. New York is 1-9 in its past 10 overall. To make the playoffs, which means in the final eight after the play-in tournament, the Knicks are +4000 with no at -20000.
