Kansas vs. TCU Big 12 basketball odds, bracketology: Horned Frogs can capture first series sweep of Jayhawks

TCU has never swept Kansas in college basketball but that could change tonight in Fort Worth.

The only ranked matchup in college basketball on Monday is from the Big 12 as No. 5 Kansas visits No. 22 TCU, although those rankings may change a bit later today. The Horned Frogs have never swept the regular-season series against the Jayhawks but are 2-point favorites at Caesars Sportsbook to do so.

One of the most surprising results of the season has to be TCU's 83-60 blowout win at then-No. 2 Kansas on Jan. 21. It was Kansas' second-largest home loss ever under Bill Self. TCU extended the lead to as many as 24 points in the second half and Kansas shot only 32.1% after intermission. TCU, which shot 54.4% (31 of 57) from the field, got 15 points from Mike Miles Jr. and 11 from Damion Baugh in its first-ever win at KU.

Miles was the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year and has missed some time injured this season. The Horned Frogs are 3-6 without him and 15-3 with him on the floor. Miles returned Saturday after missing a few weeks and scored 15 points in 35 minutes in a 100-75 blowout win over Oklahoma State. Coach Jamie Dixon's club snapped a four-game losing streak.

The Horned Frogs shot 68.4% from the field, the best shooting percentage in a Big 12 Conference game in 25 years. It was the first time they'd scored 100 points in a Big 12 game. TCU used its 15th different starting lineup, which is the most among all major conference teams. It is now 20-6 at home as a ranked team all-time under Dixon.

TCU (18-9, 7-7 Big 12) won't be winning the Big 12 regular-season title and is projected to be a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament by both CBS Sports and ESPN. Kansas (22-5, 10-4) is tied for first in the Big 12 with Texas and is a -125 favorite to win it.  Self's team is projected to be a No. 1 seed.

The Jayhawks won their fourth in a row Saturday, an 87-71 victory over No. 9 Baylor. Kansas trailed by as many as 17 points, 40-23, with 3:30 to play in the first half. It was the largest deficit overcome by KU since it defeated Kansas State 78-75 on Jan. 22, 2022 after also trailing by 17. Jalen Wilson led Kansas with 21 points and 13 rebounds, marking his league-leading ninth double-double this season. Wilson leads the Big 12 in scoring at 20.4 points per game (the 20th best rate in the nation), rebounds per game at 8.3 and double-doubles with nine.

Kansas leads the all-time series with TCU 24-4 and has a 9-2 advantage in Fort Worth. The teams are 2-2 in the last four meetings. At BetMGM, Kansas is +1200 to win the national title and is taking the most money (13.5%) and the most tickets (10.8%) of any school/.
