Heat vs. Spurs Thursday NBA injury report, spread, odds: Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Butler, PJ Tucker will play; Dejounte Murray questionable, Jakob Poeltl out

Good injury news for the Heat on Thursday at the Spurs.

For the first time in weeks, the Miami Heat should have all of their key players available tonight in San Antonio with the return from injury of Kyle Lowry, and Jimmy Butler and PJ Tucker cleared to play. The Spurs, meanwhile, are without vastly underrated center Jakob Poeltl and are listing their best player, Dejounte Murray, and three-point shooter Doug McDermott as questionable. Miami has risen from -3.5 at Caesars Sportsbook to -6. Click here for model picks.

Lowry has missed the past nine games for undisclosed personal reasons but is good to go. Overall, Miami is 8-5 without its point guard this season and 24-15 with him. Butler, who should be named an All-Star reserve tonight – all the reserves will be announced starting at 7 p.m. ET on TNT – missed Monday's loss in Boston with a toe injury but did play Tuesday in Toronto, the Heat's third straight defeat. If Butler were to have a triple-double in this game, he would break the franchise single-season record of four he shares with LeBron James. Butler is +1200 to get one on a yes-only prop.

Tucker is considered just a glue guy who rebounds and plays good defense and that's true, but he's shooting an NBA-best 46.8 percent from three-point range this season (best among qualified players). He also played Tuesday after sitting Monday.

San Antonio comes off a truly horrific 124-120 home loss to the Warriors on Tuesday. Golden State rested pretty much everyone of note and trailed by as many as 17 but rallied in the final seconds for a 124-120 victory. Murray led San Antonio with 27 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. He's having a fantastic season (19.6 ppg, 9.1 apg, 8.5 rpg) and could be named an All-Star reserve tonight as well but is questionable with a wrist injury apparently suffered Tuesday. The Spurs are 1-5 in games he has missed.

McDermott (11.5 ppg) left Tuesday's loss with a sprained ankle. Poeltl (13.1 ppg, 9.0 rpg) also left vs. the Warriors after taking a hit to the head and is in the concussion protocols. A few Spurs reserves also are listed as out.

Despite being 12 games under .500, the Spurs have only been outscored by nine points on the season. It's the first meeting of the year between the Heat and Spurs.
