The New York Yankees begin their postseason journey, eying their first trip to the World Series since 2009, when they host the Cleveland Guardians in Game 1 of their best-of-five American League Division Series on Tuesday. The Yankees (99-63), winners of the AL East, are making their sixth consecutive playoff appearance. The Guardians (92-70), winners of the AL Central crown, swept the Tampa Bay Rays in the Wild Card round, winning Game 2 1-0 in 15 innings. New York won five of the six regular-season meetings with Cleveland.

First pitch at Yankee Stadium is set for 7:37 p.m. ET. New York is listed as a -210 favorite (risk $210 to win $100) on the money line in the latest Guardians vs. Yankees odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under for total runs scored is 6.5. (see the latest lines for every game on our MLB odds page).

Before making any Guardians vs. Yankees picks, you NEED to see the latest MLB predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, and it enters the divisional round on a 20-11 roll on top-rated MLB money-line picks, returning more than $600. This is the same model that pegged the 2021 Atlanta Braves at 10-1 as one of three best bets to win it all last season. Anybody who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows New York right fielder Aaron Judge has had a record-breaking season. He hit 62 home runs, eclipsing the American League record of 61 held by Roger Maris, and also hit .311 with 131 RBI and 133 runs scored. He stole 16 bases and drew 111 walks. In six games against the Guardians this year, he has homered twice with three RBI and walked five times.

The model also knows Cleveland has been on fire, closing the regular season by winning 24 of the final 30 games, before sweeping the Rays. It will send right-hander Cal Quantrill (15-5, 3.38 ERA) to the hill. In his last start on Oct. 4 against Kansas City, he allowed just one earned run on four hits in five innings to earn the win. He did not walk a batter and struck out four. Quantrill has won his last 11 decisions, and had a no-decision in a 5-4 loss to the Yankees on April 23. In that game, Quantrill allowed three earned runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings, walking three and striking out two.

Now, it has set its sights on Guardians vs. Yankees. We can tell you the model is leaning Over on the total, and it also says one side of the money line has ALL the value! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any MLB picks of your own.

So who wins Game 1 of Guardians vs. Yankees? And which side of the money line has ALL the value? ... Join SportsLine right now to find out which side of the Guardians vs. Yankees run line you should be all over on Tuesday, all from the model on a roll on MLB picks!
