The Seattle Kraken make their NHL debut when they visit the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday for a battle between the league's most recent expansion teams. The contest at T-Mobile Arena is set to begin at 10:15 p.m. ET. Vegas is a -250 favorite (risk $250 to win $100) in the latest Golden Knights vs. Kraken odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total goals is set at 5.5 (see up-to-date odds for every game on our NHL odds page).

Before you make any Kraken vs. Golden Knights picks or any other NHL predictions, you NEED to see which side SportsLine's No. 1 NHL expert Matt Severance is on.

Severance is a well-connected writer and handicapper who has worked in the industry since 2005. He dominated the NHL last season by going a whopping 158-104 on his money-line picks, returning over $1,400 for the $100 bettor. You MUST check out what he has to say.

Severance knows the Golden Knights are beginning a new era with Robin Lehner as their No. 1 goaltender after trading Marc-Andre Fleury to Chicago during the offseason. The 30-year-old Lehner posted a 13-4-2 record and 2.29 goals-against average in 19 games last season while teaming with Fleury to capture the William Jennings Trophy. Captain Mark Stone was Vegas' leading scorer with 61 points while Max Pacioretty recorded a team-high 24 goals in 48 contests.

He also knows the Kraken will be solid in goal with Philipp Grubauer, who was signed as a free agent to a six-year, $35.4 million contract in July. The 29-year-old German, who began his career with Washington, spent the last three seasons with Colorado and was second in the NHL in 2020-21 with a 1.95 GAA. Seattle has several former 20-goal scorers on the roster in Jordan Eberle, Jaden Schwartz, Yanni Gourde and Marcus Johansson, and are anchored on defense by captain Mark Giordano, who won the Norris Trophy with Calgary in 2019.

Now, Severance has locked in confident picks for Golden Knights vs. Kraken. We can tell you he's leaning Under the total, but he knows a crucial X-factor makes one side a MUST-BACK! You ABSOLUTELY need to see what it is before locking in any picks of your own.
