Go Bowling at The Glen odds, NASCAR picks: Best bets for the Watkins Glen race from proven racing expert
CBS Sports NASCAR writer Steven Taranto reveals his NASCAR picks to SportsLine for the 2025 NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International on Sunday
Watkins Glen International will host a NASCAR Cup Series race when the 2025 Go Bowling at The Glen begins on Sunday afternoon. There are only three races remaining in the regular season, so the pressure continues to mount for the Go Bowling at The Glen field. Defending champion Chris Buescher is one of top betting favorites, according to the latest Go Bowling at The Glen odds. Shane Van Gisbergen is the -145 favorite, followed by William Byron at +550. Buescher is at +2000 to repeat as champ.
The top four drivers in the Cup Series standings are separated by just 51 points. Other contenders for this race include Michael McDowell (+1300), Ryan Blaney (+1400) and Chase Briscoe (+1600). Sunday's race is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET.Â
Before making any Go Bowling at The Glen picks, you NEED to see what CBS Sports NASCAR writer Steven Taranto has to say.
Taranto, who moonlights as a sim racer and has 20 career wins in iRacing, is the lead NASCAR writer for CBSSports.com. Taranto was red-hot for SportsLine in 2024 as he nailed 17 winners, including 16-1 longshot William Byron at the Daytona 500 and 14-1 longshot Chase Elliott at Texas. Anybody following his NASCAR picks could have seen HUGE returns!
For the 2025 NASCAR Go Bowling at the Glen, Taranto is high on Buescher (+2000). He also has a head-to-head prop bet, with Ross Chastain (+110) to finish ahead of William Byron (-150). "Coming off his win at Iowa one week ago, it appears that William Byron is rounding into form just in time for the start of the playoffs, and he enters Watkins Glen as a past winner after taking the checkered flag there in 2023," Taranto said. "Unfortunately, his results have been all over the board in his last three starts at The Glen: His win is sandwiched in-between a 22nd place run in 2022, and a 34th place finish last year after he tried his hardest to jump over the Armco barrier and leave the ballpark at the end of the esses.
"Granted, Ross Chastain's only career Top 10 finish at Watkins Glen came one year ago. But he dominated the day with 51 laps led from the pole before finishing fourth, and that's enough for me to give him the head-to-head nod over Byron this week."
Taranto has also identified four other drivers in his 2025 NASCAR Go Bowling at The Glen best bets. He's also high on a huge NASCAR longshot who's around 100-1, potentially netting any backer a HUGE payday! You ABSOLUTELY NEED to see his picks before locking in any NASCAR picks of your own.
