A crowded backfield can quickly diminish a running back's Fantasy value. And before you try and determine which running back will receive the bulk of the carries moving forward, you need to see SportsLine Fantasy analyst Matt Franciscovich's breakdown of some of the most fluid running back committees heading into Week 5.

Franciscovich, spent four seasons at NFL Network as on-camera talent and as a writer/editor, appearing on NFL Fantasy Live, Fantasy & Friends, and NFL Pick'Em. You might remember him best as one of the 'Fantasy Hipsters,' a segment that was nominated for FSWA "Best Video" award in 2016. He's also a featured contributor of the Fantasy Football Black Book, which has spent ample time at No. 1 in Fantasy books on Amazon in 2018 and 2019. Now, Franciscovich is a Content Strategist at EA Sports, focusing on Madden NFL, while continuing to dish out Fantasy takes for SportsLine. He has years of experience handing out league-winning advice, so if there's anybody who can help you win your league, it's him.

One thing we can tell you heading into Week 5: Franciscovich is fading Denver's backfield completely this week against the Chargers.

"Last week, Royce Freeman and Philip Lindsay split a mere 15 total rush attempts in Denver's fourth loss of the season against Jacksonville,"Franciscovich said. "If you absolutely must come away from reading this with a positive takeaway, it's that Freeman did see six targets in the game, compared to Lindsay's one. Alas, both backs have an even 19 targets on the season, so there's been no real leader in the passing work, either. Denver is 0-4 to start the year, and the Broncos come into Week 5 as heavy road underdogs against the Chargers. With just two touchdowns between Freeman and Lindsay all season, do your best to avoid using either of them as starters in Week 5."

Franciscovich has also identified a surprising running back who's expected to see a high-volume of touches in Week 5, and makes the call on which RB will be the most reliable in New England's crowded backfield.
