Rostering a player in your Fantasy lineup dealing with an injury always comes with some risk, so don't make the final call until you see what SportsLine NFL injury analyst Dr. Brandon Bowers has to say.

Dr. Bowers, a Doctor of Physical Therapy currently practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting on northeast side of Columbus, Ohio, completed his undergraduate work at Siena Heights University. He earned his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Toledo.

He is currently employed by Athletico Physical Therapy and treats a high volume of high school and collegiate athletes in the clinical setting. He's worked previously for a host of different websites serving as an injury analyst, publishing weekly columns, appearing on podcasts and radio shows to provide injury content.

He's broken down some of the most notable injuries heading into Week 3 and here's what he had to say about James Conner's (knee) outlook.

"He underwent an MRI on Monday and the injury is not believed to be serious at this time; Conner is confident he will play in Week 3 against San Francisco," Dr. Bowers said. "His knee went into a position of hyper-extension which can create ligamentous, cartilaginous and osseous stress resulting in injury. Conner was held out of practice on Wednesday and Mike Tomlin isn't certain the role the running back will have come Sunday. No definitive diagnosis has been provided by the team and his status is definitely worth monitoring as the week progresses."

Dr. Bowers is also breaking down what challenges Drew Brees (thumb) faces in his rehab, and has an in-depth look at what Cam Newton is dealing with as he battles a foot injury. You ABSOLUTELY need to see his breakdowns before making any Fantasy decisions.
