Resurgent Chelsea aim for a fourth straight victory in all competitions when they host relegation-threatened Everton in an English Premier League match Saturday at Stamford Bridge. The Blues (10-7-9) are 10th in the Premier League table but advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals with a 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund last week. That was sandwiched between a 1-0 victory against Leeds and a 3-1 road thrashing of Leicester City last Saturday. The Toffees (6-7-14) entered the weekend 15th in the table and defeated Brentford 1-0 last Saturday, but they are just three points above last-place Southampton.

Kickoff in London is set for 1:30 p.m. ET. The latest Chelsea vs. Everton odds from Caesars Sportsbook list the Blues as the -205 favorites (risk $205 to win $100) on the money line, with Everton listed as +625 underdogs. A draw is priced at +300 and the over/under for total goals is 2.5.  (For more soccer coverage, click here.)

Before you bet on Everton vs. Chelsea or make any other English Premier League predictions, you must see what SportsLine's soccer expert Brandt Sutton has to say.

Sutton, a former collegiate soccer player, has been SportsLine's top soccer editor for more than five years. He has followed soccer closely for much longer and factors in managerial tactics, projected lineups and past performances to make the most informed decisions possible, keeping his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.

Sutton finished 2022 as SportsLine's top soccer expert with a 165-130-2 mark, returning nearly $2,200 for $100 players. He also excelled in Serie A with a 63-39-1 mark, returning nearly $1,600.

Sutton knows Chelsea have been building confidence, and it's never easy to earn points at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have yielded one goal in their past four at home and have conceded eight goals in their 12 league games there. Everton have scored 20 goals all season, tied for fewest in the league, and just eight in 13 away matches. Chelsea have scored more than once in consecutive games for the first time since October. Everton haven't won a league match at Stamford Bridge since 1994 (0-11-16).

The expert also is aware that manager Sean Dyche is making progress with the Toffees. While they haven't won at Stamford Bridge, they are 4-3-1 against Chelsea in the past eight league matches. The victory against Brentford was preceded by a 2-2 road draw at Nottingham Forest. Everton's scorers have been cold all year, but Demarai Gray (four goals), Dwight McNeil (three) and Anthony Gordon (three) are all capable of finding the back of the net. Alex Iwobi (six assists) is a playmaker in the midfield.
