Two NFC teams that notched only four wins last year will square off in Week 1 of the 2021 NFL schedule when the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Kickoff from Mercedes-Benz Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET. Atlanta is a three-point favorite in the latest Eagles vs. Falcons odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points scored is 48.5. (See the latest NFL lines for every game this week on our NFL odds page.)

Before making any Falcons vs. Eagles picks of your own, you NEED to check out the NFL predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,900 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six years ago. It went a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks last season, returning more than $800. The model also enters the 2021 season on an incredible 120-78 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the Top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is WAY UP.

The model knows Atlanta finished last in the NFC South in 2020 at 4-12, losing its first five and final five games of the campaign. Despite the disappointing year, former NFL MVP Matt Ryan was fourth in the league with 4,581 passing yards - his 10th consecutive 4,000-yard season. Ryan will need to find a new favorite target, however, as star receiver Julio Jones was traded to Tennessee over the summer.

The model also knows Philadelphia occupied the basement in the NFC East last year as it lost seven of its last eight contests en route to a 4-11-1 record. The team looks to turn things around with a new quarterback as Jalen Hurts takes over following the departure of Carson Wentz, who was dealt to Indianapolis in March. A second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the 23-year-old Hurts made four starts in 2020 and threw for 1,061 yards with six touchdowns and four interceptions in 15 overall games.

Now, it has set its sights on Eagles vs. Falcons. We can tell you the model is leaning Over, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 50 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any NFL picks.
