Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks Tuesday MLB probable pitchers, odds, trends: Los Angeles on unusual runline winning streak

If the Los Angeles Dodgers win tonight in Arizona, it probably will be by at least two runs. At least, that has been the case all season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are going to be favored in the vast majority of their games this season (so far all of them) and are 12-4 on the MLB betting runline. However, what's pretty unusual is that they have covered the runline in all 12 of their straight-up victories – meaning, if you aren't familiar, all of their wins have come by at least two runs. LA is -135 on the runline tonight in Arizona with Tony Gonsolin starting on the mound opposite Zach Davies.

Actually, only two of the Dodgers' 12 SU wins are by just two runs. That's incredible. They prevailed 4-0 in the desert on Monday night to improve to 17-3 SU against the Diamondbacks since last season. The Dodgers have won 10 straight in the series and outscored Arizona by a combined score of 183-87.

Los Angeles shortstop Trea Turner is riding an MLB-best 35-game on-base streak after going 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs Monday. Turner is batting nearly .350 on during the streak. Walker Buehler didn't give out a free pass Monday and Dodgers starting pitchers have allowed just 34 walks this season, which are the fewest in the majors.

Gonsolin (1-0, 0.69) comes off six shutout innings of Atlanta, allowing one hit. He has walked seven in his three starts. Batters are hitting .196 off him this year. The right-hander has a 2-2 career record against Arizona with a 3.62 ERA in nine games (eight starts) with 34 strikeouts against 13 walks.

Arizona is a solid 9-8 as a runline underdog this season; the Snakes have yet to be favored in a game. They start Zach Davies (1-1, 5.02 ERA). He allowed two runs over five last time out in Washington and hasn't exceeded five innings yet this year.

In nine career starts vs. the Dodgers, he is 4-3 with a 2.11 ERA in 55.1 innings and a .212 opponent average. Justin Turner is 7-for-20 off him with a homer and Cody Bellinger 5-for-15 with a homer. Bellinger is +360 to go yard tonight and Turner +450.
