College Football Bowl parlay picks for December 30th: Model and expert plays include potential 642-1 payout

The first of the New Year's Six bowl games rounds out an impressive five game slate of college football matchups on Friday, as the appetizer of sorts to Saturday's two semifinal matchups.

The Duke's Mayo Bowl matches the No. 23 ranked NC State Wolfpack (8-4) against the Maryland Terrapins (7-5) at the home of the Carolina Panthers, Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. Caesars Sportsbook has NC State as a 1-point favorite with the over/under at 46.

El Paso's Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl pits the No. 18 UCLA Bruins (9-3) against the Pittsburgh Panthers (8-4). Caesars lists UCLA as an 8-point favorite with the total set at 54.

The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville matches two ranked teams both with records of 8-4, the No. 21 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. the No. 19 South Carolina Gamecocks. Notre Dame is a 3.5-point favorite per Caesars with the over/under at 50.

The Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl played in Tucson, AZ is a battle of Group of 5 teams, the 9-4 Ohio Bobcats against the 7-5 Wyoming Cowboys. Ohio is a 2.5-point favorite per Caesars with the total set at 41.5.

Finally in the nightcap, the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers (10-2) face the No. 7 Clemson Tigers (11-2) in the Capital One Orange Bowl. Had both teams not suffered late-November losses, it's conceivable that they could've been in the College Football Playoff. Caesars has Clemson as a 6-point favorite with the over/under at 63.5.

Before you submit your parlays for these games, check out what the SportsLine Projection Model and SportsLine college football analyst Eric Cohen recommend for Friday's games.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Over the past six-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $2,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

Cohen finished one game above .500 with his picks on the season, including an impressive 17-8 run over the final two weeks of the season. His SEC conference parlays generated more than 11 units of profit for bettors who followed his selections. Thus far this bowl season, he's off to an 12-8 start and his parlays have been profitable.

One of the bowl picks the model is high on: UCLA-Pittsburgh Over 54. Ten UCLA games hit this number or above this season and seven Pittsburgh games did the same. The model is projecting a total well into the 60s and a high scoring matchup between these two teams.

Another prediction: Cohen is taking Clemson -5.5 over Tennessee in the Capital One Orange Bowl. "I'll keep my logic simple: Tennessee is without their Heisman Trophy-caliber QB Hendon Hooker, All-American wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, and other star WR Cedric Tillman," Cohen says. "I thought QB Joe Milton III wasn't great at Michigan a few years ago and still am not a believer until proven otherwise at Tennessee."

You ABSOLUTELY need to see their bowl parlays before locking in any of your own.
