Best MLB bets today

Milwaukee Brewers at Seattle Mariners (-134, 7.5): 3:40 p.m. ET

The Brewers' 11-game winning streak was snapped at the hands of the Mariners on Tuesday night, as Cal Raleigh's MLB-leading 39th home run was the lone score in a 1-0 Seattle victory. 

There haven't been many runs in the first two games of this series, as just seven total runs have been scored, with the Brewers winning the first battle 6-0. Milwaukee's pitching has been on fire of late, allowing one run or fewer in seven of the team's past 12 games, so it's not a surprise to see a lower total at 7.5 for this clash.

Luis Castillo (7-5, 3.21 ERA) gets the nod for the Mariners, while the Brewers will send out Quinn Priester (8-2, 3.33 ERA). Both starters have allowed two earned runs or fewer in three of their past four outings.

New York Yankees (-144, 8.5) at Toronto Blue Jays: 9:40 p.m. ET

The Yankees had dropped their first five games in Toronto this campaign but picked up a victory north of the border for the first time after a 5-4 triumph on Tuesday night. Ben Rice was the hero for New York with a tiebreaking ninth-inning solo shot, while Cody Bellinger and Jazz Chisholm knocked in the other four Yankee runs with home runs of their own. 

The Yankees are giving the ball on Wednesday night to ace Max Fried, who has compiled an 11-3 record with a 2.43 ERA. But Fried has been struggling this month, as he hasn't registered a quality start in his three July outings—going 1-1 with a 6.43 ERA over that span. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are countering with Chris Bassitt (10-4, 3.89 ERA).
