Chicago Cubs (-115, 9) at St. Louis Cardinals: 7:45 p.m. ET

The Cardinals took the first game of the series over Chicago on Monday, 8-2. St. Louis is 9-1 in its last 10 games and now trails Chicago by just 3.5 in the NL Central. 

Jameson Taillon gets the call for the Cubs. Taillon has been Chicago's most consistent starter this season, sporting a 7-4 record and 3.84 ERA. The veteran is coming off a poor outing against the Brewers, where he allowed five runs over 4.0 innings. However, he gave up just seven runs in his previous five starts, with the Cubs winning all of those games. 

St. Louis turns to Michael McGreevy. The young right-hander is making just his fourth start of the season. McGreevy has been strong in two of his three outings, allowing a total of one run in 10.2 innings of work.

Philadelphia Phillies at Houston Astros (-140, 7.5): 8:10 p.m. ET

The Astros and Phillies kick off a three-game series on Tuesday. Both teams have been playing well of late. Philadelphia is 8-2 over its last 10 games, while Houston has gone 7-3. 

Ranger Suarez looks to continue his strong season in the series opener. Suarez is 6-1 with a 2.21 ERA and has allowed two runs or fewer in six straight starts. Pitching away from home hasn't been a problem for Suarez. In his four road starts, Suarez has given up a total of three runs in 27.2 innings.

The Astros counter with Framber Valdez. The Astros have been a profitable bet with Valdez on the mound lately, winning his last eight starts. The left-hander hasn't allowed more than two runs at home since April 2.
