Best MLB bets today

Cleveland Guardians at New York Yankees (-190, 8):  7:05 p.m. ET

The Yankees enter Tuesday's matchup with Cleveland after dropping two of three to the Dodgers over the weekend. New York is still 7-3 in its last 10 games.

Carlos Rodon gets the ball for New York on Tuesday. The left-hander is 7-3 with a 2.60 ERA this season. Rodon has been particularly good in his last three outings, where he allowed just one run over 18 innings. The Yankees have won six of Rodon's last eight starts. 

Cleveland turns to Tanner Bibee. Bibee has been hit-or-miss this season, allowing two runs or less in six starts and three or more in the other five. The Guardians went 5-2 in Bibee's first seven starts but are 1-3 in his last four.

New York Mets at Los Angeles Dodgers (-145, 9): 10:10 p.m. ET

The Mets won the first game of the series, 4-3, on Monday, and they have now taken three straight over the Dodgers this season. Overall, New York enters Tuesday's matchup 8-1 in its last nine games. 

Tylor Megill will try to keep it going for the Mets tonight. The right-hander has pitched well in his last two outings, allowing just three runs in 10.1 innings of work. The Mets won both of those games but were 1-6 in Megill's previous seven starts. 

The Dodgers counter with veteran Clayton Kershaw. The 37-year-old hasn't been involved in a decision yet this season but did pitch well in his last start when he allowed just one run over 5.0 innings against Cleveland. Kershaw has had success versus New York over the years. The current Mets' lineup is hitting only .150 against him in 80 career at-bats.
