The Dodgers enter Monday with the best record in the National League at 56-35. Meanwhile, Milwaukee trails the Chicago Cubs by 3.5 games in the tight NL Central and will look to get back on track after losing three of its last five games. 

On the hill for Los Angeles will be Cy Young candidate Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The All-Star has been strong over his last two starts, allowing just four hits and one run over 12 innings. The Dodgers won both of those games by a combined score of 14-2. 

Milwaukee's Freddy Peralta is also having a stellar first half of the season, sporting a 9-4 record and 2.91 ERA. Peralta has allowed three runs or fewer in 17 of 18 starts this year. The Brewers have been profitable with Peralta on the mound recently, winning his last four starts.

Arizona Diamondbacks at San Diego Padres (-125, 8): 9:40 p.m. ET

The Diamondbacks come limping into Monday's matchup against San Diego. Arizona is just 3-7 in its last 10 games and has fallen 11.5 back in the NL West. 

Zac Gallen tries to turn things around for the Diamondbacks. Gallen is coming off a strong outing against San Francisco, although he has struggled for a majority of the season. The 29-year-old has given up at least four runs in 11 of 18 starts and is the subject of trade rumors with Arizona falling below .500. 

Yu Darvish makes his season debut for the Padres on Monday. Darvish missed the first half of the season with right elbow inflammation. He faced the Diamondbacks once last season, giving up three runs in 5.1 innings of work.
