Journalism-Sovereignty Part II takes place on Saturday when the starting gate opens in the 2025 Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Race Course. Five weeks ago in the Kentucky Derby, Sovereignty outkicked Journalism to win the Run for the Roses. Three weeks ago in the Preakness Stakes, Journalism overcame traffic trouble to pull off a memorable win in the second leg of the Triple Crown, but Sovereignty was not in the race. On Saturday, the two will meet again in the final jewel of the Triple Crown. Journalism is the 8-5 favorite in the 2025 Belmont Stakes odds following the 2025 Belmont Stakes post draw, while Sovereignty is 2-1. Baeza (4-1), Rodriguez (6-1) and Hill Road (10-1) round out the top five favorites among the eight 2025 Belmont Stakes horses. Post time for the $2 million Belmont Stakes 2025 is 7:04 p.m. ET. The race will be run at 1.25 miles rather than the usual 1.5 due to the venue change to Saratoga Race Course.
