Aaron Judge Tuesday home run watch, odds: Yankees slugger has one homer in 18 at-bats vs. Blue Jays starting pitcher Jose Berrios

Is tonight the night that the Yankees' Aaron Judge ties or breaks the AL record for homers in a season?

New York Yankees star Aaron Judge hit his 60th homer of the season last Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh and he hasn't gone yard since, a span of six games, as he looks to set the American League record with 62 dingers this year. He's priced +195 to hit one tonight in Toronto as the Yankees try again to clinch the AL East, but Caesars Sportsbook oddsmakers favor him to get No. 62 not in this series but in this weekend's three-game set at Yankee Stadium vs. Baltimore.

The Blue Jays start right-hander Jose Berrios tonight and Judge is 6-for-18 career off him with a homer. Judge took a lot of action to hit one Monday night when Kevin Gausman was starting, as he's now 9-for-24 off Gausman with three homers. Judge is 5-for-18 (.278) with eight strikeouts since hitting his 60th home run. His streak of 25 plate appearances without a home run is well short of his longest drought this season, which lasted 41 plate appearances in August.

Toronto took the bat out of Judge's hands in the Top of the 10th inning on Monday, intentionally walking him in a tie game with two men out and runners on first and second. It worked as the next batter, Anthony Rizzo, grounded out to first and the Blue Jays won it 3-2 in the bottom of the 10th.

"Game on the line, that's where you want to hit," Judge told reporters about being walked. "That's why I'm doing all the work — to put myself in a position to go out there and help the team out and help us get a win right there."

That Judge hits No. 62 against the Blue Jays in this series is +350 with the Orioles series next at +150, the season-ending Texas Rangers series at +300. The odds that Judge doesn't break the record stand at +400.

New York's magic number to win the AL East remains two. The Yankees start right-hander Jameson Taillon (13-5, 3.90 ERA) tonight. He is 6-3 with a 4.42 ERA on the road and 3-2 with a 2.67 ERA in five starts vs. Toronto.
