2026 PGA Valero Texas Open odds, predictions: Top picks, props and analysis for this week's event in San Antonio

Golf insider Brady Kannon has broken down the 2026 Valero Texas Open field and locked in his predictions and best bets

ByUpdated: Mar 31, 2026 9:33PM UTC . 3 min read

Brian Harman looks to win his fifth PGA Tour event and second consecutive Valero Texas Open when he takes part in the event at TPC San Antonio - The Oaks Course. Harman is a +6000 longshot to repeat as champion. Several golfers have already dropped out as this year's first major approaches. Among those skipping this week's event include Gary Woodland, last week's winner, and Collin Morikawa (back).

This year's Valero Texas Open gets underway at 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday. The tournament, with a $9.8 million purse, will be played on a par-72 course measuring 7,438 yards.

Among the favorites include Ludvig Aberg (+1500) and Tommy Fleetwood and Russell Hanley (+1600). Jordan Spieth and Robert McIntyre are both at +1800, while Si Woo Kim and Hideki Matsuyama are at +2200.

Before making any 2026 Valero Texas Open picks, you NEED to see the predictions and best bets from elite golf expert Brady Kannon.

Kannon is an elite golfing handicapper with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He has called eight major winners since 2013 and hit six PGA winners, including 110-1 longshot Harris English at the Farmers Insurance Open, in 2025. He also hit on Matt Fitzpatrick (15-1) two weeks ago for an outright winner. Additionally, he's 33-29-5 on head-to-head bets since joining SportsLine. Anyone who followed his lead could have been WAY UP!

Now, Kannon has been digging into this week's field to find the best betting value and just locked in his best bets to back. He's fading Ludvig Aberg (15-1 at FanDuel).

"The Big Swede is my favorite new player on the PGA Tour scene in the last few years but I don't like this spot for him here this week as the tournament favorite and his quest for a third straight top-10 finish at The Masters on deck," Kannon said. "Aberg is very familiar with TPC San Antonio, having played it numerous times during his college days at nearby Texas Tech. However, that has not translated all that well, having missed the cut twice here in his three professional visits.

"He definitely has a skill set that translates here at this golf course and the form has been coming around nicely since he was struggling with illnesses earlier this season. With two top-5 finishes in his last two starts, he has to be feeling great heading into The Masters. I have to wonder if he even wants to be here for all four days. It is an awfully short price to pay when we are wondering what his mindset is between now and what lies ahead."

Kannon has revealed his best bet, and it's a surprising golfer who returns around 22-1 and is a perfect course fit!
