2026 PGA Texas Children's Houston Open odds, predictions: Top picks, props and analysis for this week's event in Houston
Golf insider Brady Kannon has broken down the 2026 Texas Children's Houston Open field and locked in his predictions and best bets
Min Woo Lee looks to win his second consecutive Texas Children's Houston Open when he takes part in the event at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston. Lee enters as the +1300 favorite as the top-ranked Scottie Scheffler has dropped out. Lee, 27, defeated Scheffler and Gary Woodland by one stroke at last year's event. Lee has five wins as a professional, but just one on the PGA Tour. The Australian has climbed to No. 22 in the rankings.
This year's Texas Children's Houston Open gets underway at 8:20 a.m. ET on Thursday. The tournament, with a $9.9 million purse, will be played on a par-70 course measuring 7,475 yards.Â
Besides Lee, other favorites include Chris Gotterup (+1800) and Jake Knapp (+2000). Sam Burns and Brooks Koepka are at +2200, while Nicolai Hojgaard is at +2500.
Before making any 2026 Texas Children's Houston Open picks, you NEED to see the predictions and best bets from elite golf expert Brady Kannon.
Kannon is an elite golfing handicapper with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He has called eight major winners since 2013 and hit six PGA winners, including 110-1 longshot Harris English at the Farmers Insurance Open, in 2025. He also hit on Matt Fitzpatrick (15-1) last week for an outright winner. Additionally, he's 32-27-4 on head-to-head bets since joining SportsLine. Anyone who followed his lead could have been WAY UP!
Now, Kannon has been digging into this week's field to find the best betting value and just locked in his best bets to back. He's fading Brooks Koepka (25-1 at William Hill).Â
"It is difficult to go against Koepka right now with his ball striking being in excellent form but the putter has led to much of his undoing this season," Kannon said. "He missed the cut here in Houston in 2021 but did finish fifth in 2020. My thinking this week though is not necessarily results or statistically based. Koepka is No. 1 on Tour in SG: Approach and in his last three starts, he's finished ninth, 13th, and 18th, but I feel the situation and the price this week is a difference maker. I mentioned that he participated in the design of this golf course, acting as a player consultant. That is well publicized and I have a feeling it is going to drive a great deal of attention toward Koepka this week - but it is a bit too much "narrative street" for me and it seems to also have impacted his price.
"I'm thinking Koepka ought to be at least 35-1 to win this week, if not closer to 40-1. Yes, I am rooting for Brooks and am thrilled for his return to the PGA Tour, but I think this week we are getting a little too far ahead of ourselves. I doubt that he completely flops this week with the way he has been playing but again, I believe the situation, the added attention and pressure, and the price have him being overvalued here at Memorial Park."
Kannon has revealed his best bet, and it's a surprising golfer who returns around 80-1 and is a perfect course fit!
