The SportsLine Projection Model simulated Sunday's 2025 YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway 10,000 times and revealed its NASCAR picks for the eighth race of the Cup Series Playoffs
The 2025 NASCAR Playoffs roll on to their eighth race -- and second of the Round of 8 -- with the 2025 YellaWood 500 on Sunday. Held at Talladega Superspeedway this is the 34th overall race of the Cup Series and third-to-last of the year. Last week saw Denny Hamlin become the first driver to notch multiple checkered flags in the 2025 Cup Series Playoffs as he was victorious at Las Vegas. Other playoff victors include Chase Briscoe, Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott and Shane van Gisbergen, while Austin Cindric won the spring NASCAR at Talladega race.Â
Blaney is the +900 favorite in the 2025 YellaWood 500 odds, followed closely by a trio of drivers. William Byron, Joey Logano and Cindric are each at +1000 to make NASCAR Talladega bets on. Ryan Preece has secured back-to-back top 10s, and even though he's been eliminated from the Chase for the Cup, he's at +120 to notch a third straight top 10 finish with 2025 NASCAR at Talladega props.

Our proven projection model has simulated Sunday's 2025 YellaWood 500 10,000 times and come up with a surprising leaderboard. Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary NASCAR prediction model takes into account a slew of factors, including track history and recent results.
McClure's model began the 2025 season by calling Chase Elliott's win in the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray for a +300 payout. Then it went on to predict Kyle Larson in Miami (+350), Christopher Bell's NASCAR All-Star Race win (+600), Denny Hamlin's wins in Michigan (+650) and Las Vegas (+650), Shane van Gisbergen's win in Mexico City (+330), Elliott's win in Atlanta (+1500), and van Gisbergen again in Chicago (+150), Sonoma (+125), Watkins Glen (+135) and Charlotte (-105).
All told, the model has nailed a whopping 29 winners since 2021 and has hit 11 winners already in 2025! Anyone who followed its lead on those NASCAR picks could have seen HUGE returns.
Now, the model has dialed in on NASCAR at Talladega 2025 and released its projections.
For Sunday's 2025 YellaWood 500, we can tell you the model is high on Kyle Busch, even though he's a longshot at +2000 in the latest 2025 NASCAR at Talladega odds. He's a target for anyone looking for a HUGE payday. It's also revealed a shocking NASCAR prop for this weekend: Kyle Larson finishes top 5 for a +150 payout. He's a potentially a strong value pick for your Talladega NASCAR prop bets.
The model is also targeting THREE OTHER drivers with odds of 18-1 or longer to make a serious run at the checkered flag! Anyone who backs these drivers could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY NEED to see who they are before locking in any NASCAR picks.
